Conference on African and Afro-Caribbean Performance (Co-Sponsored with UC Berkeley’s Dept. of Theater, Dance, and Performance Studies, Berkeley, September 2008)
UC Faculty Advisory Board Meeting (Berkeley, September 2008): In September of last year, the members of the MRG UC Faculty Advisory Board met in Berkeley on the occasion of the MRG co-sponsored conference on African and Afro-Caribbean performance (see above). Preceding the meeting was an opening banquet for the MRG, held at Berkeley’s historic Bancroft Hotel. The banquet featured a reading of the recent Wizard of the Crow by its author, distinguished b0ard member Ngugi wa Thiongo.
