21 Oct Meet and Greet
Performance and Politics RFG
Monday, October 21 / 3:30 PM
Crowell Reading Room, HSSB 6028
Working at the intersection of scholarship, artistic practice, and political life, we explore embodied practice-performance as a vehicle for the shaping, crafting, structuring, and transmission of cultural values and identities, encompassing conventional manifestations, such as theater, dance, music, spoken word, puppetry, performance art, film; and any act, expression, and behavior that may be analyzed through a lens of performance.
Please come to the first meeting of the Performance and Politics Research Focus Group of the IHC. We’ll meet to share interests and plan events for the forthcoming year. Contact Meredith Heller (email@example.com) and see www.ihc.ucsb.edu/performance-and-politics for more details.
