Slavomir Horak is a Visiting Fulbright Scholar at the Central Asia – Caucasus Institute, Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced and International Studies and a Research Fellow at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Russian and East European Studies at Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic.  His research focuses on Central Asia and the Eurasian Region.
