The IHC’s Visiting Scholar Program provides humanities and fine arts faculty from other institutions the opportunity to make use of UCSB’s facilities while they are in residence in Santa Barbara. Visiting scholars will be offered library privileges and eligibility to purchase campus parking and Recreation Center membership. Limited shared office space may also be available. Visiting scholars will make a presentation of their work as part of their affiliation with the IHC.
To apply please submit all materials to IHC Associate Director Emily Zinn: ezinn@ihc.ucsb.edu. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Completed applications must include:
- A cover letter describing the research project to be undertaken as a visiting scholar and the quarter or quarters when affiliation is requested.
- Curriculum vitae
- A letter of support from a UCSB faculty member indicating departmental interest in the proposed project.
