Hans Gindlesberger is a Milwaukee based artist using photography and related technologies to create projects that are rooted in a need to recover a sense of belonging from a landscape that is increasingly in states of social, psychological, and physical transition.

Gindlesberger received his Master of Fine Arts in Photography from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He has presented his work at Galleri Image (Denmark), Gallery 44 in (Toronto), Jen Bekman Projects (NYC), the GIGUK Video Art Festival in (Germany), the Streaming Festival (Netherlands), among others. In 2008 he was awarded a Fellowship in Photography from the New York Foundation for the Arts. Currently, he holds the position of Head of the Photography Department at The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
