D.K. Ruth ,co-founder of the internationally renowned Alabama-based
Rural Studio visionary architecture project (see lecture outline below)
will join local architect Vadim Hsu (Habitat for Humanity) and John
Patton, former Director of Planning and Development, Santa Barbara County
to discuss the manifold challenges posed for architects and citizens
by the crisis in affordable housing for low-income residents and working
people in the Santa Barbara area. The round-table will be moderated
by Kim Yasuda, Professor, Spatial Studies and Chair, Art Studio, UCSB.
