Carol Rodland, Professor of Viola at the New England Conservatory, will give a masterclass on standard viola repertoire with UCSB viola students. Carol Rodland made her debut as a viola soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra at the age of 17 and has subsequently performed to critical acclaim throughout North America and Europe. Recent performances have included solo recitals at Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall and Boston’s Jordan Hall.In the fall of 2002, she joined the viola faculty of the New England Conservatory, where she was recently recognized with the Krasner Award for Excellence in Teaching.
