Aaron David Miller, president of Seeds of Peace and
a former State Department adviser on the Middle East,
discusses the marriage of official and unofficial diplomacy
in pursuit of achieving Israeli-Palestinian peace. Miller
became president of Seeds of Peace in January 2003.
For the last two decades, he served at the Department
of State as an adviser to six secretaries of state,
where he helped formulate U.S. policy on the Middle
East and the Arab-Israel peace process, most recently
as the senior adviser for Arab-Israeli negotiations.
He is the author of three books on the Middle East.
