CONFERENCE: Cultural Conflicts and Collaborations in the Middle Ages

Speakers from diverse disciplines—French, English, History, and the History of Art and Architecture—will come together to explore the dynamics of cultural interaction binding communities, artifacts and personal histories in Britain, France, the eastern Mediterranean and Cyprus in the Middle Ages. The principal speakers are E. Jane Burns, (UNC-Chapel Hill); Annemarie Weyl Carr, (Southern Methodist University); Steven A. Epstein, (University of Kansas); and Patricia Clare Ingham, (University of Indiana).
Co-sponsored by the IHC, English, History, French and Italian, Women’s Studies,
the College of Letters and Science, and Medieval Studies.
