Jürgen Streeck is associate professor in the
Departments of Communication Studies and Germanic Studies
at the University of Texas at Austin and also serves
on the faculty of the programs in Foreign Language
Education and African and African-American Studies.
His main area of expertise is the video-based study
of human face-to-face interaction in real-life settings,
with a focus on uses and coordinations of gesture,
speech, and other media of communication.
