The conference will include presentations by scholars
from a variety of disciplines, all on the theme of
manuscripts in the Middle Ages. The keynote address
will be delivered by Thomas Forrest Kelly, Harvard
College Professor & Morton B. Knafel, Professor
of Music at Harvard University. His address, “The
Sounds of Medieval Manuscripts,” will focus on
the interpretation of medieval musical notation and
the role of music in the medieval manuscript. For more
