The Makrolab will be sited atop UCSB’s Campus Point overlooking the ocean from mid-May till the end of the month to coincide with the inaugural State of the Arts Conference organized by UCSB-based UC Institute for Research in the Arts. The following events will take place in and around the Makrolab:

May 16-20: set-up installation of Makrolab at UCSB
May 18: Lecture by Marko Peljhan Trost Arhitekti, and Thomas Mulcaire
May 20: Lecture by Brian Holmes: Mapping the Makrolab Territories
May 22: Lecture by Johan Berte of the International Polar Foundation
May 22-25: Workshop led by Marko Peljhan and Jan and Nejc Trost (founders of Ljubljana-based architectural practice, Trost Architekti and members of Projekt ATOL) with students focusing on the practical and philosophical implications of sustainable habitation.
