The media landscape in the US and abroad is rapidly
being reconfigured by technological developments, new
regulatory policies, political and ideological conflicts,
cultural trends, economic forces and globalization.
This conference addresses widespread concerns about
media concentration and the effects of conglomeration
on creativity, competition and democratic access to
the marketplace of ideas. Join media scholars, government
