The annual Luis Leal Award for Distinction in Chicano/Latino Literature, sponsored by UCSB and the Santa Barbara Book & Author Festival, will be awarded to outstanding novelist Graciela Limon.  The author of numerous novels including The Memories of Ana Calderon, Song of the Hummingbird, In Search of Bernabe, Erased Faces, and her latest, The River Flows North, Graciela Limon is Professor Emeritus at Loyola Marymount University and a Senior Lecturer in the Dept. of Chicano and Chicano St. at UCSB.
