a public lecture with Professor Timothy Naftali
Based on the long-secret Politburo minutes from 1955-1964,
Tim Naftali discusses Nikita Khrushchev's strategy of
risking war to make peace with the United States. It
is rare to be able to see inside the head of an American
adversary but these new materials make that possible
for the crisis years of the Cold War and suggest approaches
as we face new nuclear challengers today.
