Cinematographers have long employed cinematic subterfuge
to hide the signs of age on an actress’s face.
Today those methods are becoming “old-school”
as advancing digital technology makes it possible to
youth an aging actress’s image in postproduction.
Is this new digital technology a tool to extend an actress’s
career or does it undermine her performance? Rasche
will present on her oral history research with fifteen
prominent actresses in Hollywood and New York.
