The Huntington will award to scholars over 150 fellowships for the academic year 2014-2015. These fellowships derive from a variety of funding sources and have different terms. Recipients of all fellowships are expected to be in continuous residence at the Huntington and to participate in and make a contribution to its intellectual life.

The Andrew W. Mellon Fellowship of Scholars in the Humanities is a unique opportunity for the best recent PhD recipients in the humanities to develop as scholars and teachers. Fellows enjoy substantial time to pursue research, teach two courses per year in an affiliated Stanford Department, and participate in active program of scholarly exchanges with other Fellows, Stanford faculty, and outside visitors.
